National Philanthropy
Robbie Page Memorial
The Robbie Page Memorial (RPM) was established in 1951 following the death of Robbie Page, the son of Tri Sigma's fourth National President, Mary Hastings Holloway Page. His tragic death from bulpar polio -- at the time there was no cure for or preventative from polio -- prompted Mary and her husband Rob to establish a memorial fund for polio research. Tri Sigma wanted to help their National President by launching the RPM fund. And in 1954, Tri Sigma adopted RPM as their National philanthropy and began Sigma's long range programming in support of recreational therapy for hospitalized children. At the 1974 convention, the sailboat became the official symbol of Sigma and the RPM program. Tri Sigma's have a sincere interest in service to others and an earnest desire to help. For almost sixty years, Sigmas have served children through the RPM. Because of Robbie, an important and lasting contribution has been made to children everywhere. Sigmas can find their reward in knowing that their efforts make children smile.
Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation
The Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation was established in 1992, a merger between the Robbie Page Memorial Fund and the Sigma Sigma Sigma Educational Foundation of Tri Sigma. The Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation centers its philanthropic efforts around the theme "Sigma Serves Children."
